It is a medical procedure that is conducted voluntarily in which healthy people give blood or one of its components to sick patients who need it. This is used in surgeries, accidents, and numerous ailments that necessitate blood transfusions, and millions of individuals need it every year.
Medical advantages of blood donation include:
• Increasing stem cell activity to produce new cells (platelets, red blood cells, and white blood cells);
• Improving blood circulation;
• Reducing iron levels in the blood, which is one of the main causes of heart disease and artery blockage;
